How does Amicline 500 mg work?

Amicline 500 mg tablet targets the parasite Entamoeba histolytica inside the large intestine in the space called the lumen.

It works locally inside the guts rather than being activated in the bloodstream, which is why it is called a luminal amebicide. It targets the trophozoites, which are the multiplying amoeba in the guts.

It blocks several vital metabolic functions of the amoeba by inhibiting the production of certain proteins needed for glucose processing.

Without being able to take glucose and convert it into energy, the amoeba essentially dies.

What are the benefits of Amicline 500 mg?

Kills both active and dormant cysts of amoeba

Amicline 500 mg is a medicine that works by actively multiplying trophozoite amoeba, and even the ones that are dormant in the body. This helps you to get a complete and avoid any chances of recurring infection.

Highly targeted action

The medicine works locally in the intestines rather than being present in the bloodstream. This ensures a more direct action on the amoeba at the site of the infection.

Rapid relief from symptoms

Even though for a complete treatment you may need to take the medicine for 10 days, you can get relief from symptoms within 1 to 2 days of using the medicine on time.

Low risks of side effects

Since the medicine is activated and works only inside the intestines rather than being present in the bloodstream, there are little chances of having systemic side effects like drowsiness, toxicity, and so on.

Effective in the treatment of asymptomatic patients

The medicine works equally well in those patients who are carriers of the amoeba but do not actively show any signs of the infection.
