Overview
Galvus is a Diabetes medication used to regulate blood sugar in persons with type 2 diabetes and diabetes. It is used in conjunction with diet and exercise.
Use
Galvus Tablets can only be obtained by prescription and are available as 50-mg tablets.
One pill in the morning when taken with a sulfonylurea. Lower doses of sulfonylureas may also be considered to reduce risk.
In patients with moderate or severe kidney problems, the recommended dose is once a day.
Work
It functions by preventing the body from breaking down incretin hormones. Following a meal, these hormones are produced, which prompt the pancreas to start producing insulin.
